At Green Pastures, we’re proud to offer fresh meat in Norfolk, with our best selection of farm shop meats freshly delivered to our Bergh Apton Farm Shop near Norwich up to five days a week. Our trusted local butchers supply top-quality cuts that are full of flavour, great value for money, and used by our own restaurant chefs in The Gardeners Kitchen.
All of our red meat is reared on Norfolk farms, so when you shop with us, you’re supporting local farmers and enjoying the best that our county has to offer.
Our Range of Local Meats
We generally stock a wide range of fresh local meat, including:
- Whole chickens
- Chicken breast fillets, thighs, legs and supreme cuts
- Corner cut topside beef, hand-diced beef steak and prime beef mince
- Lamb mince
- Pork belly slices, diced pork, chops, loin steaks and rolled pork loin
Availability can vary depending on deliveries. If you’re looking for something specific, we’re always happy to help — we can usually arrange special meat orders in Norfolk with just 2–3 days’ notice.
Sausages, Bacon & Ham
Our farm shop is well-known for its great selection of sausages, bacon and ham, all sourced from trusted Norfolk and Suffolk butchers. Among our favourites is Lane Farm, a family-run pig farm just over the border in Brundish, Suffolk.
The Whitehead family raise their pigs outdoors on their own land and produce all their sausages, bacon and ham right there on the farm — ensuring quality, traceability and incredible flavour in every bite.
Choose from classic pork sausages, Norfolk sausages, and even gluten-free options — perfect for any breakfast or family meal.
Christmas Meats & Turkeys
When the festive season arrives, our counter is filled with Norfolk turkeys, game, gammon and roasting joints, along with speciality cuts like rib of beef and steak — ideal for those who fancy something a little different for Christmas lunch.
