It has been an amazing week here at Green Pastures, our feet have hardly touched the ground!
On Monday,we opened our new Post Office counter and had a great day serving our local customers. We are really proud of this new addition to the Green Pastures ‘family’ and to be able to serve our local community. The Post Office will be open Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm and Sundays 10am to 4.30pm. For details on all the services we offer, go to http://www.greenpasturesnursery.co.uk/post-office/.
On Tuesday, we got the news that we are finalists in the Norfolk Food & Drink Awards, Best Restaurant category! This means such a lot to us as it has been decided by public vote so we know that it is our customers who have got us this far. A huge THANK YOU to all of you who have voted for us, we will find out on September 14th where we have been placed in the final three!
By Wednesday we were just starting to get our breath back when the Post Office press team contacted us. They told us that we had been chosen to front a national media announcement, as we were the 3000th branch to open on Sundays! This meant that we had to prepare for the world’s media to descend on to our doorstep!
So, on Thursday, we were visited by a film crew and photographer from the Post Office press team who spent several hours here filming and interviewing us and our customers. It was quite a frantic morning, there were cameras pointing at us from all angles and we didn’t know which one to smile at first! We were even able to get our son Harry and our 50 year old tractor involved! Another big thanks to the customers who took a starring role in front of the camera and did us proud!
To top it all, on Friday we were visited first thing by Wally Webb from Radio Norfolk who interviewed us for their leading news story and, then again, later in the day by BBC Look East who came in to film our now, fast becoming famous, Post Office counter and surrounding Garden Centre!
