It’s been another busy week in the Gardener’s Kitchen restaurant, last week we were visited by ‘Bessie’ the Easton’s Coaches vintage bus for afternoon tea. Bessie was loaded with 32 passengers who all left feeling very full! Our afternoon tea includes a variety of finger sandwiches, home grown gourmet salad, coleslaw with homemade scones, cakes and pastries and tea or coffee.
Our menu here changes weekly and we love trying the new dishes that our chef comes up with to make the most of the seasonal changes in fruit and vegetables.
One of the highlights at the moment is our Orford Seafood Platter – an absolutely mouth-watering combination of salmon, mackerel, crabcake, prawns, sardines and anchovies served with a homemade tartar sauce, potato salad and our home grown salad leaves.
Another firm favourite is our Warm Lamb & Feta Salad with pomegranate & honey mint dressing. The combination of flavours is ‘out of this world’. Perfect for lunch any day of the week.
